DAVE Cameron had another hit and miss night as Albion ended Swindon's unbeaten combination record with a 1-0 win.

The big striker has impressed his workmates with his industry at times but failed to produce a finishing touch for the front side this season.

And he was at it again at near-deserted Woodside Road last night as the Seagulls second string battled to a thoroughly deserved win.

Cameron whipped in the cross of the night on 19 minutes to allow Kerry Mayo to loop a shot over goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall.

But he was later unable to give the youthful home side the insurance of a second goal.

First, he shot into the side netting after Scott Ramsay had sent him clear, then he saw his tame 47th-minute penalty pushed away by the goalkeeper.

Albion, who finished the match with nine youth team products on the pitch, worked hard throughout and ensured unsettled goalkeeper Mark Ormerod never had a chance to impress.

ALBION: Ormerod, Palmer, Mayo, Collins (sub A Davies 59), McPherson, Andrews, Wilkinson, Davis, Ramsay, Cameron (sub Marney 72) Thomas (sub Westcott 75) Unused subs: Packham, McPhee.
