LORENZO Pinamonte's future with Albion is under a cloud.

The big Italian loan signing is injured and he has attracted interest from Second Division Brentford.

Pinamonte limped off with a hamstring problem early in the second half of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Rochdale.

Brentford boss Ron Noades missed his side's game at Chesterfield to cast his eye over the 6ft 3ins striker, leaving the ground as soon as Pinamonte left the field.

Albion manager Micky Adams said: "He's got a slight hamstring problem. I don't know if it's a kick or a pull.

"We will assess the injury and see where we go from there. Hopefully he is going to be fit for possibly his last game against Leyton Orient next Saturday.

Pounce

"If Mister Noades is ready to pounce we will lose him anyway. If he wants somebody he goes and gets him.

"There is nothing I can do about that, but I will cross that bridge when we come to it."

Adams is hoping to extend Pinamonte's month on loan from Bristol City, which expires with the Orient clash at Withdean.

Even if fit Pianmonte is not expected to be available for tomorrow night's Auto Windscreens Shield tie at Bournemouth, as Bristol City are unlikely to want him cup-tied.

A 17th minute goal by Graham Lancashire sentenced Albion to their first defeat in four games at Rochdale and dropped them to 14th.

Adams said: "It's a game of snakes and ladders and we keep hitting the snakes.

"The match summed up our season so far. You cannot fault the lads foreffort and commitment and we had enough chances to have won the game."
