A FAMILY fear they will have to demolish part of their house to free a holed-up hedgehog.
The Freemans, of Mountfields, Hollingdean, Brighton, have been stuck with their uninvited guest trapped in a wall cavity since Saturday.
The creature was first spotted in the bathroom, but has now crawled into a gap where nobody can get to it.
The family has contacted both Brighton and Hove Council and the RSPCA, but nobody has been able to help.
Angela Freeman, 28, said: "It must have climbed through a hole where the pipes come through and dug its way through the fibre glass in the cavity wall."
The family say they can hear the animal scratching in the gap and have pinpointed its exact location but now they do not know what to do.
