Brighton and Hove City Council leader Ken Bodfish cannot make a case for park-and-ride on the basis of yesterday's traffic chaos, which affected the whole of the county.
Twenty-seven thousand riders and their pick-up vehicles is too much for any city to handle and Mr Bodfish ought to be looking at ways of stopping or redirecting the bike ride or severely restricting the numbers involved.
