I am writing to object to the proposed city waste recycling facility in Hollingdean Lane, Brighton.

Onyx states it will use "appropriate measures to minimise noise disturbance, dust and emissions". Extra noise and pollution, however, will inevitably occur and this pollution will most affect the children attending Downs Infant School.

Onyx says "at the nearest point, vehicle movements will be some

20 metres distant" from the school, which is the length of a cricket pitch.

The exposure of our youngest children to such dangers is unacceptable.
