Brighton Bears are ready to spread the gospel in West Sussex.

But they have laughed off suggestions they are soon to become the Bognor Bears.

Nick Nurse takes his play-off contenders to the Bognor Arena on Sunday for a re-arranged league tussle with Plymouth Raiders (5pm).

They go west again to face Thames Valley Tigers on April 5, the day before a trip to London Towers.

Both games would have been played last weekend had Bears not reached the Trophy final.

Meanwhile a clash with Towers, postponed because of the BBL Cup final, has been scheduled for the Triangle on April 9.

Nurse said: "The reason we are going to Bognor is because our Trophy and Cup success meant we had to re-schedule league games.

"There were dates at the Brighton Centre and the Triangle but nothing that fitted in with Plymouth or Thames Valley.

"We are going to Bognor and we know from calls for tickets that they are excited about it."

The trips will give Bears a chance to attract potential new fans in Bognor and Chichester.

Meanwhile the club have reminded fans they have until the end of this month to take full advantage of early bird season ticket rates for next season.

Existing adult season ticket holders paying in full by March 31 will have to fork out £175 for all home fixtures in 2005/06, likely to work out at £7 per game or less.
