Two wonder goals from new signing Yemi Odubade earned Eastbourne Borough a well deserved 2-2 draw away to high-flying Cambridge City.
The player signed from Yeovil Town last week struck twice as Borough fought back from 2-0 down at the interval.
Just two minutes into the game Dave Sadler put the hosts ahead when he ran on to a Matt Robinson pass before lobbing advancing keeper Lee Hook.
On 35 minutes Stuart Tuck cleared off the line from Matt Langston but the reprieve was shortlived.
The lead was doubled a minute before half-time when Lee Chaffey bundled in a Robinson corner despite howls of protest from the Borough defence who were claiming a foul on Hook.
Borough pulled one back three minutes into the restart when Odubade's lightning pace saw him outstrip Langston and Lee Summerscales before sliding a perfect shot past keeper Duncan Roberts.
The former Eastbourne Town star topped that goal five minutes later when he turned neatly on a Scott Ramsay flick on to lob Roberts from 30 yards.
It looked like the hosts had robbed Borough of a point deep into injury time when another Robinson corner was scrambled over the line but referee Carl Henry spotted a push on Hook.
