World Book Day on March 3 is being celebrated all over the world but nowhere more enthusiastically than in Brighton.
On that day, the new library opens its doors for the first time and it is quite magnificent in its conception.
It is so light and airy, with its ultra-modern architecture and lighting, you will want to wander along its many avenues for hours.
The new museum is also delightful. Gone are the dusty lines of showcases lit by a few 60-watt bulbs dangling from the ceiling - now there is an illuminated ceiling with spotlights, floodlights and down-lights and exhibits displayed on multi-glass platforms to allow viewing from all sides.
It is a brilliant concept. Do visit.
