Dave Swindlehurst today urged Crawley to get their minds back on the task of trying to reach the Football League.

Reds have the chance to get their Conference play-off bid on track again at home to Tamworth tonight.

They slipped from third to eighth on Saturday after a 2-0 defeat at Woking which was overshadowed by a remarkable finale when manager Francis Vines was arrested for allegedly using threatening language towards a steward.

It came after a 20-man brawl which ended with Reds' Sacha Opinel and Sean Hankin both being sent off.

Reds could go second in the table with a win against struggling Tamworth and assistant boss Swindlehurst has told his players to put Saturday's match behind them.

He said: "We feel hard done by after all the things that happened at Woking but we have to put it out of our minds and concentrate on Tamworth now.

"We need to start again and make sure we are geared up for getting something from the game. We need a result because we still have a great chance of nicking a play-off place and certainly getting a top-ten finish."

Hankin, who serves a one-match ban, believes the Woking defeat will give Crawley extra motivation tonight.

He said: "We have nothing to be ashamed of after the Woking game. We played really well before the sendings off and even looked dangerous with nine men.

"We feel we did not get the rub of the green and that will make us more determined to get three points against Tamworth. We need to get switched on because it is another important game."

Crawley have been hit by injuries and suspension.

Opinel is facing a four-match ban for dangerous play but the club were appealing against his dismissal today and, if successful, the French fullback will be available tonight. Rob Kember is serving the first of a two-match suspension after receiving ten yellow cards.

Mo Harkin is a doubt with a calf injury while Neil Jenkins has been ruled out with the groin strain which saw him carried off against Woking.

However, striker Charlie MacDonald could be back in the squad following two weeks out with a groin problem and Danny Davidson is expected to be fit following a knee injury.

Swindlehurst said: "Our squad is looking very depleted which is a problem. We are hoping to have Danny back and we are getting good reports that Charlie may be available for selection, so at least we will have a side to pick from."

Tamworth have no new injury problems after being without a game on Saturday when their fixture against Leigh RMI was postponed.
