Although I have no ideas on what can be done about the empty premises Trevor Pateman mentions nor, for the moment, any solution to clogging by buses and delivery vehicles, I want to endorse most of what he said (Letters, February 5).
Our city is already quite good to walk in but there are blackish spots and it would probably not cost much to bring about the necessary changes.
Trevor and anyone else who wants to improve the "walkability" of Brighton and Hove can ring me on 01273 698737 and we can discuss how to organise to that end.
