I had thought there were at least 16 weeks in which to make objections/comments to the scheme for a 42-storey tower on the Brighton Station site.
However, I have received a letter from Brighton and Hove City Council which says comments have to be submitted by February 7.
More seriously, the developer, the Beetham Organisation, says "anyone who would like to contribute to the consultation should contact the company through its website".
What are the Beetham Organisation going to do with comments from the public?
If people object to the height of the tower, will they reduce it from 42 storeys to seven, as set out in the planning brief for the station site?
If members of the public would like to make their views known they should write to: The Development Control Manager, Brighton and Hove City Council, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove BN3 3BQ, quoting BH2005/00136/FP Brighton Station site Block J.
