Horsham boss John Maggs has predicted an upset in tonight's Sussex Senior Cup third round clash at Worthing.

The Hornets are second in Isthmian division one after four straight league wins. Worthing are 15th in the premier division and have won just once in their last seven games.

Maggs said: "We will be going all out to win the game and we are more than capable of doing it.

"People will say we are the underdogs because Worthing are in a higher division but when you look at our squad and the way we are playing, I don't think there will be a lot between the teams. Worthing have been indifferent of late and their form has been in and out. We are playing them at a good time, so hopefully we will go there and get a result.

"We have a few players who used to play at Worthing. Tom Graves, Andy Walker and Luke Burton were all there fairly recently and I know they are going to be really up for the game. That will hopefully give us more bite and make the tie a bit more interesting."

Horsham have doubts over midfielder Lee Carney, who is struggling with an ankle injury, while defender Ian Payne misses out with a knee problem.

Worthing are relishing tonight's tie. Assistant manager Danny Bloor said: "The one disappointing thing about the league we are in is we haven't got any Sussex derbies so we are really looking forward to this."

Former Albion stopper Mark Ormerod continues in goal. Ormerod's hamstring injury has been diagnosed as a back problem and he is clear to play after intensive treatment.

The Rebels are without Roy Pook (flu) plus long term absentees Owen Hill and Des Guile. Clay Lamont has signed for County League side Steyning Town to gain match fitness.

Meanwhile, Hailsham Town boss Ken McCreadie believes his team can frustrate Crawley in tonight's third round tie at the Broadfield Stadium.

McCreadie knows it would be foolish to predict an upset against the Conference high-fliers but is confident his side can give a good account of themselves.

He said: "I have a very young side and it will be a good experience for the boys. We are a fit side, too, and if we work hard and play as a unit then we will do okay."

Crawley will rest Charlie MacDonald and Sean Hankin, who have both recently returned from injury.
