Chris Rackley thinks songbirds don't matter (Letters, December 23) but he has forgotten pigeons.
If people are more important, how about getting some of the homeless and hungry here in Brighton to catch some pigeons - there are so many of them - and finding a kitchen where they can be made into pigeon pies?
With some help, I am sure they could learn to bake and so feed themselves and many others.
