Horsham boss John Maggs is hoping to sign defender Julian Curnow from Dulwich Hamlet.
Curnow has played for a number of Sussex clubs, including Bognor, Lewes and Burgess Hill.
Maggs said: "I have to talk to Dulwich about it, but I'm quite hopeful of bringing him in. I have gone after him before when he was at Lewes, so I know what he can do."
Goalkeeper Luke Burton and defender Tom Graves are back in the squad for tomorrow's home game against Bromley.
Meanwhile, Burgess Hill manager Gary Croydon is predicting a testing away trip tomorrow when he picked from a full-strength squad to meet Cray Wanderers.
Croydon said: "It's certainly a tough game. They are the team which just ended AFC Wimbledon's 78-match unbeaten run."
Croydon, who is also a director as well as boss of Hillians, has played down talk of him stepping down.
He said: "I have just been honest. Although I am a director, I am also the manager and i have to be judged on performances. If performances drop I have to look at myself."
Worthing hope to sign Gillingham striker Jones Awuah in time to play in their home game against Wealdstone tomorrow.
The Ghana-born forward played four times for the Gills first team two seasons ago but is available on loan.
Assistant manager Danny Bloor said: "He is a big, powerful striker and will give us a real presence up front."
