My husband and I have just moved to Seaford and yesterday I saw a rat in our garden.
I phoned Lewes Council. A very pleasant young man arrived by lunchtime to sort out the problem and the service is free. Very impressive.
Today, I went out to speak to the Box-It men to ask about boxes to recycle our waste and managed to lock myself out of my house.
The weather was very cold and my husband was not due back for an hour but one of the (Box-It) men, Steve, insisted I borrow his coat. They also returned later to see if I was all right.
Chivalry is not dead after all.
