Thousands of pounds have been raised by a charity golf contest for The Argus Appeal.
Fifteen teams of four people paid to tee off at East Brighton Golf Club yesterday and helped raise more than £5,000.
The event, now in its second year, was organised by Phil Graves of estate agents Graves Jenkins, with help from Mark Stuart-William, from the golf club.
The Argus entered a team for the competition which included ITN newsreader Carol Barnes, Martyn Willis, managing director of The Argus, crime reporter Phil Mills and Joel Harding from the advertising department.
Other entries included Legal & General, the Theatre Royal, HSBC bank and Griffith Smith solicitors. The teams started at 12.30pm yesterday and spent the afternoon on the course before heading back for dinner.
Appeal co-ordinator Elsa Gillio said: "It has been a wonderful day. We were extremely lucky with the weather."
