Sixty new jobs have been created with the refurbishment of a new Marks & Spencer's store.
More than £7 million has been spent modernising the 17,000 sq ft premises at the Holmbush Centre, Shoreham, near Brighton.
Shoppers enjoyed a champagne reception at a special ceremony yesterday.
The new-look store has a much wider selection of products, with a large choice across menswear, childrenswear and womenswear, including Per Una and the recently launched Limited Collection.
It also houses an extended 110-seater Caf Revive, which will offer hot food, and boasts a brand new Bureau de Change.
There is also a comprehensive home section and food hall.
David Patrickson, manager of the Shoreham store, said: "The store has been completely transformed and now provides an exciting yet easy to shop retail environment that really showcases our products.
"We have had a fantastic opening day after months of hard work to create a better Marks & Spencer store for Shoreham.
"It's been great to welcome so many customers here today and we are really looking forward to meeting many more over the festive season."
