Dave Lodge finished the season in style with a brace of wins at Brands Hatch.

The Crawley rider triumphed in both MiniTwins races as the BEMSEE club championship came to its conclusion.

The results meant Lodge cemented fourth place in the championship to go with third place in the Clubman 450-600 class.

Luke Palmer (Plumpton Green) finished second and fourth in the two Powerbike races.

Peacehaven pair Kevin Stone and Richard Freshwater finished 13th and 14th respectively in the Supersport 600 final.

Brighton's Leon Hunt suffered a power-value failure in his second 125 Grand Prix race of the weekend, which brought a premature end to his season.

The 16-year-old finished eighth in the MRO Championship and fifth in the BEMSEE series.

Rally ace Andrew Bargery is set to round off his British Championship assault on the South of England Tempest Rally next weekend.

The Hove-based co-driver will be calling the notes for Gareth Jones in the Gadget Shop supported Renault Clio as he makes the short trip to Aldershot for the event.

Heading the field away will be championship title contenders David Higgins and Austin MacHale and the 100-strong entry will provide a fitting finale to the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship.

The 18 stage event will be based at the Rushmoor Arena in Aldershot, Hampshire and gets under way with three night-time stages on Friday, with action resuming early on Saturday for a full day of live rally action.

In addition to three live stages the Arena will be hosting a rally show and the service area. There is free parking and entry is £5 per person.

The rally also takes in classic southern Forest Enterprise stages in Yateley Forest and at the nearby Ash Ranges.
