A seven-day music festival to showcase the talents of Brighton's best bands has been a big success, according to organisers.
More than 500 musicians are taking part in the event which closes on Sunday and, by then, will have attracted about 14,000 music lovers.
The festival was organised by Brighton-based Lout Promotions, Melting Vinyl and Juice 107.2 FM.
The organisers are now planning to form a not-for-profit company to run the festival on an annual basis.
Steve Stark, from Juice FM, said: "It has been a fantastic success and we have sold out every gig so far."
Brighton Live has featured some of Brighton's most successful acts in conjunction with an extensive programme of workshops and free shows.
The festival continues tonight with a gig by local boys Electric Soft Parade at Old Market in Upper Market Street, Hove.
