Workers at a manufacturing firm have at least one reason to celebrate getting a year older.
Managers at Cash Bases in The Drove, Newhaven, are letting employees take the day off on their birthday. The decision has unsurprisingly had huge support from all 210 workers.
Managing director Philip Stone said he was happy for everyone to have the day off.
The only proviso was that they had to bring cakes in for everyone the following morning.
Cash Bases is a leading manufacturer of custom-designed cash drawers and has developed more than 10,000 different product designs.
