Construction company Bluestone has won a £1.9 million contract to construct a new major incident suite in Eastbourne for Sussex Police Authority.
The new two-storey steel-framed building will provide a modern base for conducting major crime investigations as well as a scenes of crime unit.
The 39-week scheme, which will also provide a new interview room, will be carried out in partnership with project consultant Parsons Brinckerhoff.
Stephen Scard, Bluestone regional managing director, said: "Our position as a local contractor with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the communities we work in is helping us to develop important relationships with key public sector clients."
