The £35,000 Lewes District Council has allocated to the extended planning inquiry into Falmer stadium will not be enough - local residents, you have been warned.
The whole purpose of the new inquiry is to investigate all other options within the city boundaries. This means Lewes will have to prove the Falmer site is less suitable than the others, named or otherwise.
Who is going to carry out this survey? How much will it cost the council to employ experts in this field to examine the other sites? And will it suggest sites in East Sussex - after all, Newhaven has been named?
Remember, the cost to the football club to prove Falmer as the site is £2 million so far.
As the Lewes MP keeps pointing out, you must have a Plan B. Plan Bs cost a lot of money.
