On Wednesday, September 29, Marcia Harris, Jan Meredith and Chris Thornton-Clough, trustees of The Sussex Pet Rescue Charitable Trust, visited Therapaws Hydrotherapy Pool in Sidlesham to receive two cheques - one for more than £1,000 and one for more than £350.
Barbara Teasdale with her support dog, Oliver, and Mary Kitson with her dog, Judy, had undertaken a 106-mile sponsored walk of the South Downs Way in June and had raised more than £1,000 for the charity.
The owner of Therapaws, Julie Grantham, held a dog show in August this year in aid of the charity and raised more than £350.
The charity relies on such support to continue helping unwanted and sick pets and would like to thank all those involved in both events.
