Returning to Brighton on Saturday after a day in Bexhill, I was appalled at two things:
1. the attitude of many of the people milling around Preston Park (where I live) - dangerously and arrogantly walking in front of traffic.
2. the sickening amount of rubbish for hundreds of metres around the Pride event on Preston Park.
If the bins were full, they could take their rubbish home (as most people do when visiting the countryside, for example).
It seems many of the people at the Pride event had little or no pride in the city or themselves.
There is no pride in doing whatever you want at the expense of others. Several local residents I spoke to felt the same.
