As a regular weekend visitor to your fine city, I was appalled at the extent of the litter and debris on the beach on Sunday morning.
What is it with people these days that they can't be bothered to take litter home with them?
Beer and pop cans, broken wine bottles, carrier bags and other food and drink debris were scattered across a large area - between the pier and the marina - and I'm sure it's the same across other parts of the beach.
Do we have to plead with people to take their rubbish home when there are bins everywhere?
It was a sad moment in a lovely weekend.
