I read your article about parking attendant Linda on her average day (The Argus, June 24).
She seems a very nice lady but for every nice warden there are three bad ones. The main problem is inconsistency.
A lot of the problems faced by wardens would disappear if they knew the areas they work in and the parking restrictions there.
A colleague got a ticket for being in a resident's bay before the start of the time restriction clearly marked on the sign next to his car. Can the warden not read?
The frustration for us motorists is that if an error is made by a warden we have to put ourselves out to go and get it sorted.
We don't get an apology for our own time being wasted by a problem not of our making. Train the wardens better and to be less jobsworth and all wardens would get get an easier life from the public.
The council makes enough money out of us.
Why not give us some slack?
