What an insult to the hard-working people of Brighton and Hove that Rik Child says he cannot be a councillor because of the low pay.
How do he and the others feel about pensioners who have had a 25 per cent rise in council tax over the past two years and less than £5 rise in their pensions to cover this?
Congratulations to Jayne Bennett who did not accept an increase saying it isn't fair when other people are struggling with their bills.
She seems to be the only sensible one there.
