Three people died and seven were injured in a weekend of crashes.

A motorcyclist was killed when he was involved in a collision with a van in London Road, Petworth, just after 7am on Saturday.

The man who died was riding a Ducati motorbike. The driver of a white Citroen van was slightly injured.

A man died and a second was seriously hurt early today when the car they were in hit a telegraph pole and crashed through a garden wall in Edenbridge Road, Hartfield, near Crowborough.

Another fatal crash happened just after noon on Sunday when a motorcyclist lost control and hit a tree on the A284 at Arundel.

The rider was in his 30s and from Littlehampton.

Three people were injured when their BMW crashed into a roundabout and overturned on the A24 near Horsham at 1am on Sunday.

A 32-year-old woman from Brighton was injured when her motorcycle was involved in a collision with two cars in Wilson Avenue, Brighton, at 5pm on Friday.

Another woman, 75 and from Brighton, was airlifted to hospital after a collision with a lorry on the A22 Uckfield bypass on Friday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
