Turnover at asb law, the largest law firm in the South-East, has increased by 61 per cent in four years.

Figures for the year ending April 30 show a rise in turnover of eight per cent to £18.1 million.

The firm has offices in Brighton, Crawley and Horsham.

Last year its private client division turnover increased by 16 per cent to £6 million and the commercial group was up 12.7 per cent to £4.9 million.

It said expanding its services and employing top quality lawyers were the key reasons for its strong performance.

Brighton-based chief executive Christopher Honeyman Brown said last year's growth was "modest".

However, the acquisition of Humphrey Dawson's aviation practice meant "good headway" this year.
