Reigning champions Glynde look well placed to retain their title after stretching their perfect start to the season.

A six-wicket win at home to Iden means Glynde have maximum points after three games.

Dale Tranter (5-51) and Joe Adams (4-35) combined to dismiss Iden for 177.

Adams then swapped ball for bat, scoring 72 in an opening stand of 105 with Dominic Shepheard (45) to put the hosts in sight of victory.

Heathfield Park went second in the table after a comfortable nine-wicket success at home to Crowhurst Park.

The visitors were indebted to a seventh wicket partnership of 71 between Victor Walcott (56) and wicketkeeper Laurence Coleman (35) as they struggled to 186 all out. Matt Blackman's 4-61 was the pick of the bowling.

An opening stand of 149 between Ian Cox (81) and Scott Pearce (73 not out) put Heathfield in sight of victory.

Ringmer got off to a flier at Newick with openers Richard Thomas (39) and Stuart McConachie (23) putting on 52 in nine overs. Neil Linstrem later added 54 before Ringmer were dismissed for 194, with Rupert Thacker (5-54) and Dave Winnard (4-45) doing the damage.

Newick's reply was based around a superb knock of 76 by Sam Carter. Quick wickets fell after his dismissal but Newick held on for a draw at 165-9, Graham Pitts taking 4-29.

Fletching won by two wickets at Seaford, who posted 160-9 after recovering from 25-5. Clive Chipper struck 60 for the hosts while Steve Oakes (4-15) was the pick of the Fletching bowlers.

Grant Horscroft (40 not out) and brother Clive (39) held the Fletching innings together in reply and victory was secured with one ball to spare thanks to a mighty six by former Albion footballer Grant.

Skipper Tom Carr was the star of the show as Chiddingly secured their first win at the expense of Hellingly.

Carr struck 61 from just 56 balls as his struggling side recovered from 67-4 to post 183-9. In reply, Hellingly were dismissed for 88 as Carr claimed 8-31 from 16.5 overs.

In division two, St Peters and Herstmonceux share top spot.

Joe Wheatley claimed 7-13 off 12.5 overs as Barcombe dismissed St Peters for 134, Matthew Knight hitting 74. Barcombe, though, collapsed to 92 all out with Simon Coomber taking 5-35 and Knight 4-9.

Alan Smith (4-21) was Herstmonceux's top bowler as they dismissed Tunbridge Wells Borders for 130. Richard Coomber then hit an unbeaten 81 as the home side knocked off the runs for the loss of just one wicket.

Matthew Nolan hit 92 as Ditchling made 199 all out, with Mark Smith (4-42) and Mark Grantham (3-34) taking the bowling honours. In reply, Grantham hit 71 and Brett Moore 56 but Rottingdean fell just short on 196-8.

Ollie West made 136 as Battle made 219-8 against Uckfield, for whom John Deverill took 4-34. Uckfield then replied with 193-5 thanks to Kevin Morton (52) Peter Holman (44) and Toby Margetts (41 not out).
