Obviously, Lord Bassam and Ivor Caplin MP think they have enough power to influence the Deputy Prime Minister over the commercial decision regarding the Albion stadium.
Why are they wasting their time? More money is needed for the Royal Sussex Hospital and, no doubt, other hospitals.
If they have influence, let's have them supporting the local hospitals.
Of course this will not happen because the Government's line is that the NHS is receiving loads of dosh and, being politicians, they must keep in line at this fragile time for the Blair machine.
