Comparing the trouble-free staging of the Fatboy Slim concert in Rio De Janeiro with one in Brighton is taking things a bit far (The Argus, March 9).

Apart from the fact that several hundred thousand people arriving in a city of millions is not such a big deal, what about the well-known behaviour of certain elements in the great British public?

I refer, of course, to the thousands who will turn up without tickets, well-oiled and quite happy to leave the city once again littered with beer cans, take-away wrappers and urine in their wake.
