Your report that council tax in Brighton and Hove will be one of the highest in England is followed by reports in the national Press that councils throughout the UK are creating public sector jobs which seem to have little consequence.
Perhaps Brighton and Hove City Council should be looking at the way it has created positions over the past few years.
I worked for the council for 20 years and what started as a two to three page telephone guide has now reached proportions of a mini best-seller.
