What a great idea of Peter Looby to print T-shirts saying "No, I haven't got a --- loyalty card!" to wear in supermarkets (The Argus, December 29).

Like Mr Looby, I get fed up with Debenhams and Boots (naming just two) asking for a Nectar or loyalty card.

While standing in a queue behind four male customers at the check-out of the Boots store by Brighton's Clock Tower, each one was asked if they had a loyalty card by the cashier and each replied no.

I wondered what happens to all those loyalty points that are not claimed? So when my turn came to pay, the same question was asked.

I replied: "Put them on the card you have behind the counter."

The cashier: "We don't have one."

Me: "Oh! Don't you have one for charity?"

The cashier looked blank.

Now I might print a T-shirt that says: "Give my --- loyalty points to charity."
