Piers Gough, the architect behind the proposed tower on the Endeavour site near Preston Park in Brighton, has been brave enough to stand up in public and defend his ideas.

He has presented his case with clarity and passion to all who would listen.

Contrast this with the people who lazily put their names to canned letters in The Argus (I've seen them), deny him entrance to meetings (Stanford Avenue), then abuse and heckle rather than debate the issues (Stanford Avenue and Sallis Benny Theatre).

People need homes and, as we're between sea and Downs, the only way is up.

Let's raise our sights and aspirations and show a little more Brighton tolerance during the debate.
