Four asylum seekers held under the Terrorism Act appeared in court today charged with defrauding High Street banks of £75,000.
Muhammed Khatimi, 28, of Midhurst Road, Eastbourne; Samir Adimi, 20, of no fixed address; Muhammed Rida, 28, of Woodland Vale Street, Eastbourne; and Mostapha Safi, 32, a married father-of-two, of High Road, Leytonstone, east London, were all arrested in Eastbourne last week.
They were remanded in custody at Bow Street Magistrates Court to appear to appear at the Old Bailey with a fifth man, Noureddinne Mouleff, on December 10.
Mouleff is charged with raising cash for the purposes of terrorism.
