We all judge matters by our own lights and Reg Jenkins says (Letters, November 28) that I am somehow ungallant to describe a letter by Councillor Sue John as "ranting".
If, however, Coun John was to turn her fire upon Mr Jenkins and accuse him of being among "well-off" protestors deliberately misleading people, he might find this less than charming.
Indeed, the adjective that could come to mind is ranting.
