I see councillors are being given an increase in allowances at a time when council tax is to rise.
The number of councillors has fallen from 78 to 54 and we would have thought there would have been a good saving in this.
But it just means the remaining ones will get this saving.
What has happened to the time when one would have taken on the job of councillor to help constituents and just receive expenses?
