Second division Littlehampton beat first division Redhill despite having Jan Miller sent off in their tie at the Sportsfield.

Gary Young gave the Marigolds a first-half lead which Steve Tabor doubled soon after the interval.

Redhill reduced the deficit through a Young own goal and Miller was then dismissed for retaliation.

Boss Carl Stabler said: "That made it hard for us but we defended ever so well."

Pagham went home empty handed after a 2-1 defeat at Rye and Iden United in the Sussex Senior Cup.

Scott Price converted a Simon Fox cross to open the scoring and Nathan Godden added a second on 28 minutes with a header from a Micky O'Callaghan corner.

In the second half Rye had a goal disallowed and hit the bar before Pagham scored on the break through Lee Stevens.

Steve Banks put some poor first half finishing behind him to help East Grinstead to a 2-0 win at Sidlesham.

Manager Bobby Smith said his striker could have had a hat-trick in the first half but he eventually hit the target moments before the break when he drilled in a low James Horner centre. Skipper Dave Gellatly doubled the lead with a penalty late on after Banks had been brought down.
