Crawley Town boss Francis Vines is confident of signing a goalkeeper on loan in time for their premier division clash at Hinkley United tomorrow.
Andy Little is out for three weeks with a broken cheekbone and the Reds are desperate to bring in an experienced keeper after being forced to field untested 20-year-old Jamie Anderson in their FA Cup first round defeat at Telford last weekend.
Vines had hoped Ross Flitney, who was on loan at Albion earlier in the season, would join from Fulham but that deal collapsed forcing him to look elsewhere.
"It doesn't look like Ross will be coming now so I have been on the phone to everybody to find another goalkeeper," explained Vines.
"The problem is nobody seems to have a goalkeeper of any great quality who they want to let go but I am confident we will have someone in place for the match."
Midfielder Dwayne Plummer, who is on trial from Bath City, is unavailable against Hinckley as he is yet to sign permanently.
