On behalf of the Brighton and Hove branch of the Burma Star Association I would like to thank the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Jean Lepper, Sir Andrew Bowden MBE, Councillor Ken Bodfish, the Rev Canon Brandie and all those members of the ex-service associations who, with their Standard Bearers, attended the dedication of the Kohima Epitaph memorial at the Garden of Remembrance on Thursday.
We were lucky with the weather, with brilliant sunshine reminding us of the blazing sun of Burma.
We were also delighted the press were present and even more pleased to see so many members of the public showing interest - for once the Not Forgotten Army.
