Three goals in the final ten minutes of extra time gave Albion Reserves a 4-1 win at Ringmer in the Sussex Senior Cup.

Albion ran out convincing winners, with Danny Marney squandering four clear chances before finally finding the net three minutes from the end of the extra period.

Jake Robinson created Albion's second goal for John Piercy by beating two defenders and pulling the ball back from the left.

It was Albion's youngest first-team scorer, 17 last week, who scored the third, hammering past keeper Simon Green at the second attempt from a tight angle.

Albion threatened for the first time after eight minutes, Mark Windsor playing a 1-2 with Marney before Green blocked Windsor's shot when one-on-one with the striker.

Grant Bean gave County League Ringmer a shock lead two minutes later, breaking through the middle before firing confidently past fit-again Ben Roberts.

Piercy saw a low shot comfortably held by Green, then went into the book for an alleged dive.

It took until the second minute of first-half stoppage time for Albion to level, Wilkinson drilling into the bottom corner from 25 yards after a lay-off by Windsor.

Marney should have scored when Robinson created a clear chance seconds after the restart, then Ben Watson and Adam El-Abd went close.

The Blues were reduced to ten men after 78 minutes, Chris Johnson being dismissed for dissent when Wilkinson appeared to bring down Andy Johnson in the area.

Robinson saw an 84th minute effort from Ben Fillery's cross ruled out for offside before Albion stressed their dominance.
