Am I the only one who is tired of the tedious, sanctimonious garbage written about Princess Diana?

As a republican, all I ever saw was a tall, blonde woman - not someone who could walk on water.

I felt disinterested when she died as people die in car crashes every day. It was not a murder plot but a horrible accident.

As for the Royal Family itself, it is an anachronism which costs us millions - money which should be spent on education and the health service.

The royals are too wealthy and cannot relate to ordinary people. Many younger people find them boring and out of touch.

The Royal Family as an institution harks back to the age of empire and condones putting the poor in their place.

We need a republic, it is essential if this country is to ever go forward.

In my view, there is one choice for President. He is a man who could save Britain.

His name? George Galloway.
