Russell Hardwell netted twice as Chichester went five points clear at the top of County League division one.
Dan Stimpson also found the target as Chi side ran out 3-0 winners at East Grinstead.
Manager Adie Girdler is not getting carried away with title talk.
Girdler said: "It is only 12 games gone so it is still very early and we are not looking beyond the next game.
"We had an understrength side. It shows that thanks to the foundations we have laid here over the last five years that young players can come in and do well."
