Giles Goodall says Europe is far more a threat than the US (Letters, October 15).
So why is the UK being divided into 12 regions, with England being divided into nine regional areas?
This is so the EU can sideline Westminster and rule these regions via regional assemblies.
Does the US propose this? The answer is no.
Our trade with countries outside the Europe is diminishing due to restrictive EU policies.
Why should we be in it when the likes of the French and Germans have never liked us and want to rule us?
We should pull out, settle a trade deal with the EU and then trade more with the US, commonwealth countries, the Far East etc.
