Ram-raiders smashed into two shops early today and stole cigarettes.
The first raid happened at Dillons in Downland Parade, Broadwater, Worthing, at 3.27am.
The second took place at the Shell petrol station in Old Shoreham Road, Hove, 45 minutes later.
Four men, with their faces covered, drove off in a Volkswagen Golf along Old Shoreham Road before turning right into Nevill Road.
Three minutes later police saw a VW Golf GTi with only one headlight driven at speed in Southwick Street, Southwick.
