Richard Allden suggests John Prescott "visits the area on foot and sees (Falmer) for himself".

I suggest many of the people who write letters about this area of "outstanding natural beauty" do exactly that.

If they park in one half of Falmer Village, they can cross under the four lanes of the A27 via the new subway at Sussex University and cross to the University of Brighton via the footbridge at Falmer station over the railway line.

They can then pass through the University of Brighton buildings and approach the area where the Albion plan to build a stadium.

They can then stand and listen to the noise from the A27. I doubt they will hear much bird song.
