Some readers will have received a newsletter from West Sussex County Council called Connections.
On page two there is a section dealing with "cuts in services or increased taxes".
Top of the list is the social and caring service and, in particular, multi-purpose day care centres.
As with all the other items, you are given an option to reduce, maintain or improve each service.
Before you make a decision to reduce "multi-purpose day care centres", you should know what important service they offer the community.
Throughout West Sussex these places provide a place for those who cannot maintain a basic standard of living due to disabilities.
Trained care staff and instructors give these people a hot meal, a place were they can meet and talk to others and a means of making their way back to our world.
They also offer the carers of these people a day's rest once a week.
