Francis Vines hopes to unveil his latest signing at Hednesford tomorrow after he ran the rule over him at training last night.

The Crawley Town boss was hoping to convince the midfielder to join the Reds before the trip north but admits a lack of cash could scupper the deal.

Vines said: "I have been chasing him for quite a while and he could make an appearance at Hednesford if we get everything sorted out.

"However, I am short of pounds and pence and that may be a deciding factor in whether the deal goes ahead or not. I keep on finding people I would like to sign but if the money's not there then there's nothing I can do."

Even if Vines cannot complete the deal in time he will have a problem deciding who to leave out at Hednesford for the first time this season.

The Reds boss will be able to recall Albion loan duo Carl Wilson-Denis and Daniel Marney to his attack after they missed last Saturday's 4-0 win over Harlow Town in the FA Cup while striker Joff Vansittart is also fit again.

Both Ian Payne and Jay Richardson are expected to have recovered from the knocks they picked up at Harlow leaving Karl Ready as the injury worries.
