Brighton and Hove City Council must sort out parking in our city - a problem which has not improved over several years.
In London, parking restrictions have improved the lives of residents. But in Brighton and Hove they are being used for extra revenue.
You buy a permit, there are no spaces (day or night in my street) so you are forced to park illegally in pay and display or (what were they thinking of?) voucher spaces.
Or you are forced to park so far away from home you have to expose yourself to the drunken rabble who are out after the pubs close and you have to get up at some ungodly hour to move the car so you don't get a ticket.
I have never lived in a city with such shambolic parking facilities for residents.
